The Guide

By Jonathan Chew, Founder of AI Minimalist

The schemes that actually help Singaporeans and businesses adopt and learn AI. Every grant, subsidy, and programme - who it is for, what it covers, and where to apply.

No filler. No noise.

Part 01 - For Individuals

Learning & reskilling.

The four schemes that take you from curious to capable - mostly free.

Who Paid-up NTUC members who complete a UTAP-approved AI course before subscribing.

A paid, full-time pathway to become a deployment-ready AI engineer.

Who Singapore Citizens / PRs with a technical background who pass a selection assessment.

Covers A S$4,000/month stipend over a 6- or 9-month deep-skilling track, building real production AI for a host company.

Career Conversion Programme (CCP) / Place-and-Train

Workforce Singapore & e2i

Get hired into a new AI, data or digital role and reskilled on the job, with your salary subsidised.

Who Singapore Citizens / PRs hired by a participating employer. The employer applies - you cannot claim it alone.

Covers Salary support paid to the employer: up to 90% for mature (40+) or long-term-unemployed switchers, capped S$7,500/mo; up to 70% standard, capped S$5,000/mo.

Part 02 - For Businesses

Adopting & building.

From buying a tool to building production AI - five ways the cost is shared.

Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG) — AI / GenAI

Enterprise Singapore & IMDA

Buy a pre-approved, off-the-shelf AI tool and the government co-funds half the cost.

Who SG-registered SMEs with ≥30% local equity and group turnover ≤S$100M or ≤200 employees. Apply before paying.

Covers Up to 50% of cost, capped at S$30,000 per company per financial year, for solutions on the approved catalogue.

Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) — AI projects

Enterprise Singapore

Co-funding for custom AI transformation projects too big or bespoke for PSG.

Who SG-registered companies with ≥30% local equity that are financially viable and can run the project. Approve before incurring costs.

CoversUp to 50% of qualifying costs for SMEs (30% for non-SMEs) - consultants, software, equipment, internal manpower. No fixed cap.

The "AI Development Path" is a Budget 2026 enhancement delivered through EDG - no separate page. EDG consolidates into "EDGE" in 2H 2026.

100 Experiments (100E)

AI Singapore

AI Singapore’s engineers build and deploy a working AI prototype for your company.

Who SG-based companies with a genuine, scoped AI use case and some in-house tech capacity to maintain the solution.

Covers Up to S$150,000 co-funding per project for a roughly 6-month MVP build (a shorter proof-of-concept option also exists).

Enterprise Compute Initiative (ECI)

Digital Industry Singapore (DISG)

Cloud credits plus subsidised AI consulting to build production-grade AI on cloud.

Who SG-incorporated firms with an in-house tech team and meaningful local headcount (around 10+), with prior custom-AI experience.

Covers 70% of consulting, capped at S$105,000 per company, plus cloud credits from a chosen provider (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure or Oracle).

SkillsFuture Enterprise Credit (SFEC)

Enterprise Singapore & SSG

An enterprise credit that offsets a company’s out-of-pocket cost for AI training and transformation.

Who Employers - currently those contributing the Skills Development Levy and employing at least 3 local staff (eligibility changes under the redesign).

Covers A S$10,000 credit covering up to 90% of out-of-pocket costs. Current pot expires 30 Nov 2026; a redesigned S$10,000 wallet launches 1 Dec 2026.

Compiled from official Singapore government and agency sources (EnterpriseSG, IMDA, DISG, IRAS, SkillsFuture Singapore, WSG, e2i, NTUC, AI Singapore and the polytechnics), verified June 2026. Schemes and figures change frequently - confirm current details on the official page before applying.
